

The Holy Family Congregation (CHF), founded by Saint Mariam Thresia in 1914, is a Pontifical Congregation of the Syro-Malabar Church dedicated to strengthening families through compassionate love and service. Inspired by the spirituality of its founder, CHF focuses on making families holy and harmonious. Under its guidance, the Society for Family Harmony was established at Santhitheeram, North Paravur, as a registered non-profit organization to promote family well-being through counseling, awareness programs, and community development initiatives. One of its key projects, the Joice Joseph Rescue Home, provides shelter, care, and support to elderly, abandoned and emotionally disturbed women, embodying the congregation’s mission of love and service to vulnerable populations. Together, these initiatives strive to create a harmonious and empowered society rooted in compassion and dignity.

The Society for Family Harmony, based at Santhitheeram, North Paravur, Kochi, is a registered non-profit organization under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955. Inspired by the charism of Saint Mariam Thresia, the society aims to promote family well-being through counseling services, awareness programs, and community development initiatives. With a dedicated team of eight laypeople and eight Holy Family Sisters, the society offers programs tailored to the needs of teachers, students, parents, children, and youth. Key initiatives include counseling, personality development, family retreats, and support for vulnerable women and orphans through the Joice Joseph Rescue Home.
The society is to be functional as a society under The Travancore Cochin Library Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act, (1955 (Act 12 of 1955).The Income if any or funds of the society shall not at any event be distributed among the members or office bearer of the institution as profit or dividend.
